Objectives and Key Results (OKR)

OKR stands for Objectives and Key Results, a goal-setting framework that helps organizations and individuals define and track ambitious goals. It's a collaborative approach that aligns teams and encourages engagement around measurable objectives.

Objectives are ambitious, qualitative statements of what you want to achieve. They should be clear and concise.

For more information on what OKRs are and how they are used, see OKRs. General overview.

View OKRs

When an objective or a key result is assigned to you, you'll receive a notification via the bell icon in the top right corner or via email.

To view the objectives that you own, navigate to Me > Overview > Objectives.

To view all objectives you own or contribute to, navigate to Me > Objectives.

Click on an objective to open a window with the following objective details:

  • Progress: Percentage complete and a progress chart for the objective.

  • Status: Overall status of the objective (On Track, Behind, At Risk).

  • Owner and Type: Who owns the objective and its type (e.g., individual, department).

  • Key Results: Details of the key results associated with the objective, including individual statuses.

  • Child Objectives (if applicable): Any sub-objectives that further break down the main objective.

  • Parent objective (if applicable): The objective for which this objective is a child.

  • Update History: A record of changes made to the objective over time.

Update progress on OKRs

Each objective is made up of measurable results called key results. Regularly updating the progress of your key results is important to track your overall progress towards the objective.

To update the progress on your OKRs, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Me > Objectives.

  2. Click on the desired objective.

  3. Locate the key result you're working on.

  4. Update the progress.

  5. Choose a status that reflects your current progress:

    • On Track: The key result is progressing as planned.

    • Behind: The key result is not on track to be completed on time.

    • At Risk: The key result is unlikely to be completed on time without corrective action.

    • No Status: You haven't yet indicated progress on this key result.

💡Note: If an objective that you own is not closed on time, you receive an email notification.

💡Note: the overall status of an objective reflects the lowest status of any of its key results.

Click on the corresponding icon next to the key result for the following actions:

  • Delete the key result

  • Edit the key result details

  • Shuffle the order of key results
