People data changes report

See data changed in your people profiles

This report is designed to provide a clear and structured overview of all changes made within employee profiles and related data over time. It is especially useful for understanding what changed, when it changed, who made the change, and what exactly was updated.

The report contains data covering the most recent three-month period.

What this report shows

The report includes the following key information:

  • Person – the employee whose data was modified.

  • Changed field – the specific field or attribute that was changed (e.g., position, compensation, employment status, or custom fields).

  • Changed by – the user who performed the update.

  • Change group / context – the category or section where the change occurred (e.g., Job, Compensation, Personal Information).

  • Original value → New value – displays the previous value and the updated value, allowing users to clearly identify what was modified.

  • Effective from date – the date from which the change becomes effective in the system.

  • Date of change (change timestamp) – the actual date and time when the change was made in the system.

This distinction is important:

  • Change date = when the modification happened

  • Effective from date = when the change starts applying in reality

The report allows users to see a complete history of updates for employee data, including fields that do not normally retain historical versions in standard profiles.

Filtering and segmentation

Users can filter data by:

  • Employee

  • Field / attribute

  • Change group

  • Date range (including custom ranges)

  • Monthly or period-based views

This makes it easy to analyze changes for a specific period (e.g. last month, second half of the month, or custom intervals).

Export options

The report can be exported for further analysis and sharing. Users can download the results in commonly used formats for reporting and external processing, making it easier to work with the data outside the system.
