In this guide, we will walk through the process of creating a holiday policy and assigning it to a specific location within Peopleforce

Create a holiday policy

First, please head to the Settings section of the application.

From there, select the Holiday Policies tab.

Click the "Add" button to create a new holiday policy.

Please specify the policy name and select the corresponding country it will be applied to.

Click on the created policy to download the holidays for the current year.

In the open menu, select the three dots located in the upper right corner.

Choose the 'Download latest' option. This will seamlessly integrate the country-specific holidays into your calendar.

Assign the policy to locations

After creating your holiday policy, you can link it to specific locations within your organization.

  1. To do this, navigate to the Settings section.

2. Navigate to the Locations tab.

3. Click the +Add button to create a new location or use Edit mode to assign the holiday policy to an existing location.

4. Choose the holiday policy from the drop-down menu.

Assign holiday policy to employees

Once you have created the holiday policy and assigned it to the relevant locations, the next step is to assign it to individual employees.

  1. Navigate to the 'People' section to select the employees you wish to assign to this location.

2. Choose an employee from the list.

3. Navigate to the Job tab within the employee profile.

4. To assign a location to the employee, simply click the +Add button. Alternatively, you can edit the location directly within their record.

5. To edit a record, simply click on the three dots located on the right side of the record line and select "Edit" from the dropdown menu.

6. Select the location from the drop-down menu

7. Select "New York" from the drop-down menu to assign this location to the employee. By doing so, the holiday policy specific to this location will apply to the employee, and the corresponding holidays will be reflected in their calendar.

The employee's calendar will now display all holidays specific to their location. Simply click on the date to access details about the holiday.

On the right sidebar, you can explore detailed information about each event.
