Create a probation policy

  1. To create a probation policy, go to Settings > Core Hr > Probation policies.

  2. In the right corner, click the "Add" button.

  3. Fill in the Name field appropriately and specify the duration (in months). Done!

Assign a probation policy when creating a new employee

When creating a new employee in the system, it is crucial to complete all relevant fields. You will also have the option to select a probation period policy for the new hire.

Assign a probation policy from an employee profile

  1. To assign a probation period policy to an existing employee, navigate to their profile, go to the Job section, then select Employment status > Add.

  2. In the new window, specify the effective date of the entry and the employee's type of employment.

  3. Next, choose the appropriate probation policy from the list you created.

  4. Once saved, the probation end date will automatically be displayed below the employee's profile picture.

Change the end date of the probation period

If you want to extend or shorten the probation period, you can use a separate field in the employee card. On the same page in the Job section, you can edit the date. After selecting a specific date and saving it, the changes will also be displayed below the employee's photo.

Track all employees on probation

To make it easier to keep track of the number of employees who are on probation, you should go to the "Directory" > "On probation" widget. This section will display the entire list of employees who are on probation.
