Just turn on Projects time tracking in the settings, and you can decide whether to track time spent on projects or other tasks, all in one place. If you're using a different tool, think about switching to Time for simpler time tracking.

Enable time tracking in the settings

If your company wishes to utilize project tracking, the first step is to enable it in the settings. To do so, go to Settings -> General -> Time and check the box labeled "Enable Project tracking."

Create and assign attendance policies to a specific location

The first step towards consistent attendance management is to create an attendance policy and assign it to a specific location. This policy will then be automatically applied to all added or moved employees between locations. To ensure consistent time and attendance management, follow these steps to create an attendance policy and assign it to a specific location:

  1. To create an attendance policy, go to the ''Settings'' section.

  2. Find and select "Attendance policies" in the list of settings.

  3. In the Attendance policies section, click the ''New policy'' button.

  4. Give the policy a name that reflects its purpose or the location for which it is being created.

Enable break tracking

You can enable break tracking for your team with a simple checkmark. This feature allows you to accurately track and manage employee breaks, ensuring compliance with labor regulations. To enable break tracking, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the policy you wish to configure for break tracking or create a new policy if it doesn't exist yet.

  2. In the policy settings section, find the "Break enabled" parameter and check the box next to it to enable this feature.

  3. Click on the "Save" button to save the modifications you made to the policy.

Now, break tracking will be activated for your team, allowing you to accurately monitor your employees' breaks and comply with labor regulations.

Enable autofill entries

Enable autofill for your employees by checking a box. This useful feature allows employees to automatically fill in their worked hours for the previous dates of the month.

If they forget to log their hours, no worries! They can simply click the "Autofill" button in the Clock in tab, pick the project and time period they worked, and hit Apply. This will fill in all the past dates, but the future ones won't be filled out.

Effortlessly manage projects

Once you activate project tracking in the settings, you can effectively oversee your projects. This includes creating multiple projects and assigning employees to them to optimize management. To begin managing projects, head to the Attendance tab and click on the "Manage projects" button.

From there, you can create new projects, review existing ones, or make edits. To create a new project, simply click on the "New project" button and provide a name along with selecting an emoji.

Within the project management interface, you can effortlessly add employees to projects and keep track of the total hours they've worked on each project for the current or previous month. The average hours per employee will also be conveniently displayed in the "Average per employee" widget.

Export of the data

The data export feature enables you to export the worked hours by every employee within the project, which is crucial for accurate payroll calculations and employee compensation. To export the data, simply click on the three dots icon and select your desired format. Once the export is ready, a notification will appear in the Notifications bar, allowing you to download the file to your computer.

Centralized attendance tracking

All time tracked at the company level is now conveniently displayed in one centralized location on the ''Attendance'' page. This makes it easier than ever to monitor and manage the working hours of all employees in your organization. Additionally, you can directly nudge employees who still need to submit their timesheets, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping. Here, you can view the total number of working hours allocated to projects and other tasks, as reflected in the submitted timesheets.

Only the administrators and employees with the permissions to manage the projects have the access to the Attendance tab.

Easy ''Clock in'' and ''Clock out''

With a simple click on the "Clock in" button, employees can choose the project they want to work for and activate time tracking when they start. They can also pause the tracking during breaks and "Clock out" at the end of their shift, making the process hassle-free.

Monitoring worked hours by projects using filters

Utilize filters to track the amount of hours worked on specific projects. By applying the filter by projects in the Worked Hours widget, you can easily view the total hours spent on each project.

If you want to review the hours you've tracked that are not associated with specific projects, you can use the "No project assigned" option.

Submitting your timesheet in the "Clock in" tab

At the beginning of the month, you will have the option to submit the timesheet for the previous month. To submit the timesheet, follow these steps:

  1. Open the "Clock in" tab in your time-tracking system.

  2. Locate the Submit button, typically located in the upper right corner of the tab.

  3. Click on the Submit button to submit your timesheet.

  4. Once submitted, the widget will change to indicate that your timesheet has been successfully submitted. It changes the status to "Submitted".
