Overview of the Core HR module

Learn how to set up your CoreHR for effective use of all its features in your daily work.

PeopleForce is an HRM system for your business with highly developed features and tools. In this article, we'll tell you how to properly prepare and configure the system for use according to your company's requirements.


After general and core settings, we recommend moving on to the Core HR module settings. To do this, go to ''Settings > Core HR.'' This section includes settings for leave policy, work patterns, compensation, onboarding, offboarding, probation policies, termination reasons and types, employee fields, asset categories and documents.

Leave policies

In the "Leave Policies" tab, you can easily create all the leave types used in your company. To get started, click the "Add leave type" button, fill in the Name field, and specify the tracking time in days or hours. Finally, save the data you've entered to set up your leave policies.

Important: When creating leave types in the system, it is crucial to specify whether they will be counted in hours or days, and this setting can only be defined during the initial creation of the type.

Work patterns

When you navigate to the Work patterns tab, you'll find the default standard schedule already set - 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day on weekdays. To create a new work schedule, click the "Add" button, or you can edit an existing one.

Compensation

To add various types of compensation paid to your company's employees, navigate to the ''Compensation -> Compensation types'' tab and click the "Add" button in the upper right corner. In the opened window, simply fill in the Name field and save the new type of compensation.

In the ''Payment schedules'' tab, you have the flexibility to add different types of payment schedules according to your company's policy. These schedules can include options such as monthly, bi-weekly, etc.

A probation period is a crucial phase for evaluating a new employee's suitability for a job, and in the PeopleForce system, you can easily create, edit, and delete various probation policies by navigating to "Settings > Core HR > probation policies > Add button," where you can specify the policy name and its duration before saving the details.

Termination reasons and types

To add termination reasons, follow these steps: Go to the "Settings > Termination reasons > Add" button. In the window that appears, fill in the Name field and save it. When you terminate an employee, you can specify the reason for termination by selecting it from the drop-down list.

To add Termination types, follow these steps: Go to the "Settings" tab > section "Core HR" > "Termination Types" > "Add" button.

Employee fields

Employee fields are essential pieces of information displayed on each employee's page. You have the flexibility to edit or disable existing fields, as well as add custom fields according to your specific requirements. These fields can cover a wide range of information, such as personal details, contacts, social networks, education, and more.

Asset categories

Asset categories are classifications for grouping assets with similar characteristics, such as laptops, phones, tablets, headsets, monitors, etc. To fill in the categories, navigate to "Settings > Asset categories" and click on the "Add" button in the upper right corner.
