2.36 Release overview

Summary of all features and improvements we're announcing in this release

Updated today

With simpler eSignatures option and flexible org chart hierarchy managing people feel easier, faster, and more connected. Meanwhile, Perform users also get smarter goal tracking with weighted employee-level objectives.

Org Chart Based on Employee Select Fields

You can now customize your org chart by choosing which employee field defines the hierarchy — such as Secondary Manager, HR, Mentor, or Substitute.

In People → Org Chart (By People), open Card Settings and select the field you want to build the chart from. This helps you quickly visualize alternative reporting lines while keeping visibility aligned with your permissions. More here.

Using Objective Weights for Employee Objectives

The Objective weights feature gives managers, admins, and employees a clearer, more accurate view of performance by showing the real importance of each goal. Employees can also adjust their own objective weights - for example, when setting goals for a new quarter or year - ensuring that progress tracking stays flexible, relevant, and aligned with actual priorities. More here.

Note: We're rolling out this feature gradually. If you’d like to test it, please contact us at support@peopleforce.io

Free Simple Electronic Signature for PeopleSign

A Simple Electronic Signature (SES) powered by PeopleSign, available for all users on the Pro package at no extra cost. It provides a built-in, free way to sign documents directly in PeopleForce, without using external providers.

You can select PeopleSign as a provider → Simple Electronic Signature when sending a document for signing. Recipients can review, agree, and sign documents from tasks, emails, or notifications.

The system automatically creates a signing task, sends email and system notifications, and updates the document status once it’s signed or rejected. A rejection requires a short comment, and both actions trigger confirmation messages and email updates. Details here.

Candidate duplicates handling

Candidate duplicate detection is now unified across all sources, including the Career Site, Job sites, API, Prospector, and manual additions.

Previously, duplicate checks only applied to manually added candidates. Now, PeopleForce automatically identifies duplicates by CV, email, and phone number, preventing duplicate creation and automatically merging records.

This update ensures cleaner candidate databases and saves recruiters time when processing multiple applications for the same person.

Other updates

In addition to the major enhancements introduced in version 2.36, we've also rolled out several other updates designed to improve your overall experience with PeopleForce. Here's a quick overview of these:

Core HR

  • HR users can now view all employees in the timeline — not just those on leave or public holidays.

With the new View settings, you can choose which information to display:

    • Empty rows – show employees who are not on leave or public holiday.

    • Public holidays – display employees with a public holiday (same as before).

    • Leave requests – display employees with leave requests (same as before).

  • HR users can now edit the Rehire eligibility status of terminated employees.

In the employee’s lifecycle, the Eligibility for rehire checkbox can be updated at any time. If marked as eligible, the employee is automatically added to the candidate database (available for companies using the Recruit product).

  • In the Org chart by people, under Card settings, you can select any employee select field to appear on the cards. This helps HR teams quickly view key relationships in bulk, such as who mentors or substitutes for each employee, without opening individual profiles.

  • In the Job catalog settings, you can quickly view the list of people assigned to a specific job profile. The number of assigned employees is clickable - when you click it, a drawer opens displaying the full list of people.

  • PeopleForce now supports multiple legal entities within a single tenant.
Permissions, visibility, and access can be configured per entity, ensuring secure management of data, vacancies, and reports across different business units or countries.

  • Administrators can now enable or disable API keys directly in settings, improving security and control over system integrations.

  • We've added a “Subscribe to security updates” card in General settings. You can now subscribe to email notifications about Data Processing Agreements, Privacy Policy, and other key legal updates.

  • We've expanded support for insurance by adding new fields in the Enova integration.

  • Missing document signatures for SignatureIt requests are now added to the To-Do widget. This improvement ensures better visibility of pending actions.

  • To prevent signing on behalf of others, the Sign button is now hidden when logged in as a different user. This applies to all views, including the To-Do widget, signature tasks, document preview, and task menus.

  • We've added a new "Missing email" status for signers without an email address, helping admins identify and fix failed eSignature requests more easily.

  • Improved API endpoint now supports a set of field histories for an employee, making data retrieval faster and more efficient.

Perform

  • When a Lifecycle form is active, admins can edit settings-level options such as the email title, description, reminders, and follow-ups. However, they cannot modify the form’s structure or its questions.

Recruit

  • You can now automatically import the candidate’s CV file to the platform from Work.ua.

  • More detailed insights are now available in recruitment reports:

    • Added new filters to Pipeline statistics, Pipeline funnel, Vacancy funnel, and Recruiter activities reports.

    • Expanded export data for Pipeline statistics and Candidate sources reports.

    • Deleted and terminated users are now shown in the Pipeline statistics report.

    • Improved date picker titles for easier navigation.

  • We’ve introduced a new Added by field in candidate profiles to clearly show who originally added the candidate. This field is now separate from the Recruiter field, so changing the assigned recruiter will no longer overwrite the creator’s name. You can also find the Added by field in the Candidate sources report to track sourcing accuracy more effectively.

  • Imports and exports for candidates now support both Internal and External IDs. This update simplifies bulk candidate data updates, even when emails are missing, ensuring smoother data management and fewer duplicates.

  • We've added a new Last contacted filter to the Candidates list view. Filter candidates by the last contact date range to manage your talent pool more effectively.

  • CV parsing logic is enhanced to accurately extract phone numbers using AI-based recognition. This prevents incorrect data (e.g., Tax IDs or passport numbers) from being placed in the phone number field.

  • We've added a separate API for Career Sites with scoped access and dedicated authentication. This ensures secure integration for public websites without exposing full system data through backend API keys.

  • Automations now run for all candidates created through the API, Career Site, other Job sites, Prospector, or added manually to the first stage of the pipeline.
Imported candidates remain excluded from automation.

Time

  • We’ve separated the ability to approve and reject time submissions into a standalone permission. Now, only users with the new Approve/Reject time submissions permission in the Company tab can perform these actions for the whole company. In the People tab, it is possible to allow viewing or editing timesheets, while approvals continue to be managed by Attendance policies.

Mobile application

  • You can now log in to the mobile app using either your mobile phone number or email address. This simplifies access for workers without corporate email addresses.
