2.20 Release Overview

Summary of all features and improvements we're announcing in this release

Updated today

We’re excited to introduce new features that will significantly improve your HR processes and ease interaction with the platform! You can now share 1:1s notes, set breaks' limits and enable breaks for autofill, see the date employees were hired in the people list, and use enhanced search for assets.

Split and distribute PDF files

The Split and distribute PDF feature allows users to split one or multiple PDF files and automatch them to different employees based on predefined criteria, such as employee matching fields in the Documents folder settings. This feature is particularly useful for distributing documents like payslips, as it automatically matches documents to the correct employees in the system. By enabling the document automatching toggle during the upload process, users can easily manage document distribution with accuracy and efficiency. Read more here.

Share your 1:1 notes with non-participants

The new Share button on 1:1 meeting pages allows for secure sharing of meeting content through shareable links. Access to share the link is restricted to meeting organizers and administrators, ensuring sensitive information is protected.

Non-participants can view the content in a read-only mode if they have the link, maintaining confidentiality while facilitating clear communication.

Set break limits and enable breaks for autofill

The updated Attendance policies now offer the ability to set specific break durations, allowing for options of 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours. This ensures that breaks are compliant with legal requirements.

Additionally, the new Autofill breaks feature allows for an automatic break population, enabling breaks to be pre-filled for each working day of the month, which significantly reduces the time spent on manual entries. A validation system is also implemented to ensure compliance with the established limits, verifying that no one exceeds the configured break durations. More here.

Other updates

In addition to the major enhancements introduced in version 2.20, we've also rolled out several other updates designed to improve your overall experience with PeopleForce. Here's a quick overview of these:

Core

  • We have moved setting "descriptions" or "instructions" to each leave policy now. This makes things more granular on how employees are set instructions for how they submit leave requests for policies, rather than at the type level

  • Now absence requests support multiple attachments, allowing users to upload relevant documents as needed.

  • Increased the character limit for Case category descriptions from 600 to accommodate more detailed information.

  • Added a "Hired On" column to the ‘People’ tab, allowing users to easily sort and manage employees by their hire date, enhancing overall usability.

  • Implemented a "back" functionality that returns users to their previous search results after viewing asset details, improving user experience by eliminating the need to re-enter search queries. This behavior is now consistent across all similar search and detail view interactions within the system.

  • Added confirmation windows for bulk actions in the Documents tab. Users will see a prompt when selecting multiple documents and clicking "Delete," "Request eSignature," or "Nudge," ensuring they confirm actions before proceeding.

  • Added a confirmation window when users click "Send matched docs (X)" in the automatching documents window or documents preview mode to minimize potential errors.

API

  • New API endpoint to return employee anniversaries

  • New API endpoint to return employee birthdays
