2.48 Release overview

Summary of all features and improvements we're announcing in this release

This release brings new ways to connect PeopleForce to the tools your teams use every day and to work with candidates more efficiently. You can now connect Microsoft Teams to post company updates and receive personal notifications, organize promising candidates in Talent pools, and use AI-assisted candidate prescreening to evaluate applications against your vacancy criteria. The release also introduces required billing details, with a homepage prompt for administrators.

We've also refreshed the Settings, Imports and Custom reports pages. Several features that were previously in beta are now available to all customers. There are also improvements across recruitment reports, surveys, attendance, Kadry and more. Explore the updates below for the full details.

💬 Connect PeopleForce with Microsoft Teams

The new Microsoft Teams integration brings PeopleForce updates directly into Microsoft Teams. It posts company news to your channels and sends each person their own notifications.

An administrator connects the integration in Settings → Integrations → Microsoft Teams. Employees are matched to their Microsoft Teams accounts by email, so they don't need to set anything up themselves.

Once connected, you can create Teams automations to post to your channels:

  • daily summaries of who is on leave, birthdays, work anniversaries, newcomers and public holidays;

  • posts about kudos and polls;

  • events such as new hires, people leaving the company and profile updates.

A Test option lets you check that everything is set up correctly before your automations start posting.

People also receive personal notifications from the PeopleForce app in Teams. These cover requests waiting for their approval, tasks, mentions, kudos, 1:1 meetings, surveys and reviews. Each message includes a View in PeopleForce button that opens details. More info here.

💡 This feature is currently available under a feature flag. To start using it, please contact us at support@peopleforce.io.

🗂️ Keep promising candidates close with Talent pools

Talent pools let you group candidates you'd like to keep in touch with outside any single vacancy. For example, strong runners-up from previous hiring rounds, or people with a specific skill set.

You can create talent pools in Recruitment → Talent pools and add candidates from the candidate's profile or in bulk from the Candidates page.

A candidate can belong to several talent pools at the same time. Each pool has its own page with candidate details such as position, source, tags, last contact and the date they were added to the pool.

From a talent pool, you can do the following with selected candidates:

  • add them to a vacancy in bulk;

  • send them an email, right away or scheduled for later;

  • remove them from the pool.

Candidates stay in the pool after being added to a vacancy, so the pool keeps its full picture. More details here.

🤖 Prescreen candidates faster with AI scoring

AI-assisted candidate prescreening evaluates each candidate's application against the requirements of your vacancy. This helps recruiters decide more quickly who to move forward.

To set it up, open a vacancy, go to the Job description step and turn on Enable AI scoring. There you can define your criteria in three lists: Must have, Nice to have and Red flags. You can write the criteria yourself or select Generate with AI to draft them from the vacancy title and job description.

Once AI scoring is enabled, every new application to the vacancy is scored automatically based on the candidate's CV and their application form answers. Each candidate receives a match label:

  • Brilliant

  • Good

  • OK

  • No match

The CV insights view explains the result criterion by criterion, so you can see the reasoning behind each label. You can also filter candidates by AI match.

To score candidates who were already on the vacancy, select them on the vacancy board and choose Run prescreening. The insights are generated in your company's default language, so every recruiter sees the same result.

The AI scoring result is also available through the API, so you can use it in your own automations. The AI never moves or disqualifies candidates on its own; the decision always stays with your team. More details here.

🧾 Keep your company details up to date with required billing information

We've updated the Billing details section in Settings → Billing to collect the information we need to keep your account records accurate. It covers security communications and legal notices as well as billing.

The following details are now required:

  • Company name

  • Company registered address

  • Billing contact email

  • Primary contact email

  • Security and legal contact email

  • Billing country

  • Company registration number (shown as EDRPOU for Ukraine and NIP for Poland)

If any of these details are missing, administrators will see a Please complete your company details alert on their homepage. The alert disappears as soon as all details are saved.

Missing details don't affect everyday use of PeopleForce. However, you'll need to complete them before subscribing to a plan.

🎉 PeopleSign, Kudos and Historical changes are now available to everyone

Several features that were previously available only under a feature flag are now generally available to all customers. You no longer need to contact us to start using them.

  • PeopleSign, PeopleForce's own simple electronic signatures, lets you sign documents directly in PeopleForce.

  • Kudos in Perform can help your employees recognize each other's work right away. If your company doesn't use Kudos, you can switch it off in the settings.

  • Historical changes in custom reports let you track how employee field values have changed over time.

🛠️ Other updates

In addition to the major enhancements, we've also rolled out several other updates to improve your overall experience with PeopleForce. Here's a quick overview of these:

Core HR

  • The Settings page has a refreshed design. Settings are now organized into tabs, making it easier to find the section you need.

  • Imports have been redesigned and support new data. The Imports page now groups import types into categories. The import process guides you step by step: upload a file, map its columns, and preview the data before importing.

  • New imports for employee avatars and field history. Two new import types are now available in Settings → Imports. You can now upload employee avatars in bulk and import employee field history, so historical changes to employee data can be brought into PeopleForce from a file.

  • Custom reports have a refreshed design and a new focus mode. Creating and configuring a custom report now opens in a full-screen focus mode, with a tidier way to select data sources.

  • Nested permissions are now always visible. When configuring roles, nested permissions are always expanded, so you no longer need extra clicks to see them.

  • The Teams page has a refreshed look. The Teams page and its drawer have been updated to match the new PeopleForce design.

Recruit

  • Emails to candidates can now be scheduled. When sending bulk emails from the Candidates page or from a talent pool, you can choose to send them immediately or schedule them for later. More details here.

  • Updated vacancy header. The vacancy header now shows the vacancy ID, which you can copy and share, and an indicator of hiring progress.

  • External recruiters' names and emails can be updated. You can now edit an external recruiter's details and save them directly, without removing the recruiter and reassigning them to candidates.

  • Offer templates no longer include default contacts. Recruiter contacts are no longer added to offer templates automatically, so you can include exactly the contacts you want in each offer letter or email.

  • Vacancy status in Time to reports. The Time to hire, Time to fill and Time to disqualify reports now show each vacancy's status. Their exports now include the same columns, such as vacancy ID, request ID, hiring lead and legal entity.

Pulse

  • Improved filtering in survey results. Survey result filters have been redesigned to match the rest of PeopleForce, and you can now also filter results by Manager and Work type.

  • Question text in survey exports. Survey exports now show each question's full text in the column headers, instead of a generic label.

Time

  • Filter the attendance list by custom fields. On the company attendance list (Attendance → Company), you can now filter employees by your company's custom employee fields as well as the standard filters. For example, if your company tracks contract types in a custom field with values such as Permanent and Contractor, you can show only contractors' attendance. This lets you review their hours before preparing invoices or payroll, without scrolling through the whole company. In the same way, you can focus on a group that exists only in your custom fields, such as a project team or employees on a particular type of agreement. Custom field filters follow the same permissions as the People Directory. They're available to users whose role allows advanced search across the directory. Each user sees only the fields they're allowed to view. More details.

Kadry

  • Inbox tasks and notifications for compliance cases. People responsible for a compliance case now get tasks in their Inbox and bell notifications when hiring or pre-boarding data needs to be checked. Tasks can be assigned to specific people or roles. If a document stays unsigned for two working days, a reminder is sent automatically.

  • Ordered signers in compliance HR processes. You can now set the order in which documents are signed and name a specific signer, such as the HR director. This makes it easier to match each company's own approval process.

  • Hire documents per hiring form. You can now choose which documents are generated for each hiring form. For example, you can generate different orders or applications for employees, B2B contractors and gig contracts.

  • New filters for compliance cases. Compliance cases now have an All view and filters by process type and effective date. This helps compliance specialists quickly find cases that are stuck.

API

  • API v4 now supports leave data. New API v4 endpoints let you list leave requests and leave balances across all people. Access can be granted to service accounts and limited to specific people or divisions. More details in our developer documentation.
