2.49 Release overview

Summary of all features and improvements we're announcing in this release

This release makes everyday work in PeopleForce smoother. You can now control who sees whom based on employee reference fields, see future hires on the org chart and use more employee data in documents and workflows. Assets, Tasks, Reports, Workflows and Desk cases have a refreshed design, and hiring teams get a faster vacancy pipeline board and a new look for vacancy notes. You'll also find improvements across Core HR, Recruit, Desk, Kadry and the API.

💫 A fresh look for Assets, Tasks, Reports, Workflows and Desk cases

Assets, Tasks, Reports, Workflows and Desk cases have a clean new design that works the same way everywhere. Lists show key details at a glance, with search, filters and export always in the same place. Common actions, like assigning an asset, completing a task or activating a workflow, are one click away from the list. Assets and cases open in focus mode, so you can finish one and move straight to the next.

🧩 Work with candidates on the refreshed Vacancy board

The Pipeline board inside a vacancy has been rebuilt to give you more control over what you see. You can tailor candidate cards to your hiring process and see the details that matter for your decision at a glance, without opening each profile. In View settings, you can choose up to five fields to show on candidate cards, pick what appears in the card footer (notes, interviews, resume and days in stage), and turn candidate photos, field icons and the highlighting of new candidates on or off. Your view settings are saved in your browser.

📝 Discuss vacancies with your team in the new Notes tab

The Discussion tab in vacancies is now called Notes and has a new look. Use it to share updates and ideas with everyone working on the vacancy.

  • Click Add note to write a note in the new editor. Format text, add lists, tables, links, images and attach files.

  • Type @ to mention a colleague. They'll get a notification with a link to the vacancy's notes.

Notes are shown as cards, newest first, with the author and the time they were added. Everyone with access to the vacancy can see them, and candidates never see them. External recruiters don't see the Notes tab. More details here.

👀 Control who sees whom with employee reference fields

You can now give people access to each other based on employee reference fields – custom fields that point to a person, such as HR business partner or Mentor.

Go to Settings → Security → Roles & permissions, open a role and, on the People tab, add a rule under Whose data can members access? When you pick an employee reference field, three new options are available:

  • Same as viewer – members see people who have the same person in this field as they do. For example, everyone who shares their HR business partner.

  • Assigned to viewer – members see the person set in this field on their own profile. For example, their mentor.

  • Is viewer – members see everyone who has them in this field. For example, an HR business partner sees all the employees they support.

These options work for custom roles and are available to all companies with visibility rules enabled. More details here.

🌳 See future hires on the org chart

The org chart now has a Lifecycle status filter, so you can see not only current employees but also people who are about to join.

  • Employed – people whose hire date is today or earlier.

  • Hired – people with a future hire date. Use it to see where new starters will fit in the structure.

If no status is selected, the org chart shows employed people only. The filter is available to users who can add employees or manage onboarding.

We've also made filtering clearer: when you apply filters, the org chart keeps the full reporting line of every matching person, and managers who don't match the filters are greyed out instead of hidden. Learn more here.

📄 Use more employee data in documents and workflows

We've added new employee placeholders, so your generated documents and workflow messages can include more job and employment details.

You can now use:

  • Job details: {{employee.job_level}}, {{employee.work_type}}, {{employee.work_pattern}}, {{employee.job_profile}} and {{employee.job_group}}.

  • Custom columns from the employee's Position, Work and Base compensation tables, for example {{employee.position_contract_type}}. The value is taken from the employee's current record in that table.

In workflows, the Employee placeholder group now includes Job profile, Job group and Work pattern, as well as custom columns from the Position, Work and Base compensation tables. Learn more here.

🛠️ Other updates

In addition to the major enhancements, we've also rolled out several other updates to improve your overall experience with PeopleForce. Here's a quick overview of these:

Core HR

  • Visual dimming for weekends and holidays in the calendar tab. Weekends and public holidays now have a grey background in the month view of the company calendar, so working days are easy to tell apart at a glance.

  • Refresh for core list settings. The Locations, Holiday policies, Seniorities, Employment types and Genders pages have an updated design, with search, pop-up forms for adding and editing, a count of how many people use each value, and export to Excel or CSV.

  • Refresh for Termination Types and Reasons. The Termination types and Termination reasons pages have an updated design, with search and pop-up forms for adding and editing, so you can manage them without leaving the list..

  • New Feature control screen. Turn individual features on or off yourself in Settings → Features, with no need to contact support. Turning a feature off hides it without deleting any data.

Recruit

  • Vacancy request ID added to vacancy details. Vacancies created from a vacancy request now show a Vacancy request section on the Vacancy details tab, with the request's ID, a link to the original request, who requested it and who approved it.

  • Variables are added to talent pool bulk emails. When you email candidates from a talent pool, you can now insert variables, such as the candidate's name, vacancy title or hiring lead details, in the subject and message, just like in other candidate emails.

  • Expanded hiring plan export. The export now includes all vacancy fields, including custom fields and the vacancy request form name, so you can analyse your hiring plan more easily.

Desk

  • Safe Speak cases now open in focus mode. SafeSpeak complaints now open in focus mode, just like regular cases, so you can review the details, reply to the reporter or add an internal note, then return straight to the list.

Kadry

  • Legal entity selection in compliance documents. When verifying documents in a case, you can now select the Legal entity name from a list of your legal entities.

  • Leave cycles connected to compliance leave orders. Leave orders now show the employee's working periods with the days available, and verified days are deducted from those leave cycles. Termination orders are also filled in with unused leave balances. Leave compensation amounts are still added manually.

  • Preserve and download Compliance Setup templates. In the Document setup step of a case, you can now download existing Compliance Setup templates, and unchanged templates are preserved during updates. This improves template management efficiency and helps prevent data loss.

  • Renamed Ukrainian social status fields with new options. Fields related to Ukrainian social statuses have been renamed and expanded with updated options, while maintaining the integrity of existing employee selections and the overall structure.

  • Preboarding data verification timestamps in hire compliance. In a hire case, each verified data block now shows the date and time it was verified.

  • Start the Kadry hire process from an employee profile. For employees with a future start date, start the hire process directly from an employee profile. Go to the employee profile → Actions → Create hire process in Kadry, choose a document package and create the case.

API

  • Company API v1 is now deprecated. Existing integrations keep working, but v1 will no longer receive updates and will stop being supported in the future, so we recommend moving your integrations to the latest version of the Company API.

  • Job Profile API now supports salaries and currency. The Job Profile API has been enhanced to include minimum and maximum salary details along with currency specifications, helping organisations manage compensation information more accurately.

  • Workflow webhooks now return workflow info. The Webhook action in workflows now also sends the workflow's ID, name, description and tags. This improves the clarity of triggers and helps developers identify the source of events more easily.
